East Lansing Film Festival goes to the dogs

Few of us can forget the wrenching images of people forced to leave their pets behind when they evacuated from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The East Lansing Film Festival this weekend offers a documentary called “MINE: Taken by Katrina” that tells the stories of pet owners who pursued finding their “fur babies.” ELFF executive director Susan Woods guarantees that all the stories ultimately have a happy ending.

There will be discussion sessions after the performances on Wednesday and Thursday. ELFF currently needs volunteer ticket-takers for the weekend screenings on Friday, Saturday, Sunday at 7 and 9:15 pm. Please email [email protected] if you want to volunteer.
