Two and a Half Men
For a show with a lot of controversy and seems past it’s time, season 8 continues to be surprisingly good. Rose continued her crazy scheme to get Charlie back, which involved a mannequin, while Alan cons everyone he knows. This was a hilarious episode and Alan was superb.
It was great seeing him trick everyone into investing in advertisements when he was just taking their money. The Rose story continued to be very funny, but the pizza guy found out about her plan. I thought he should have just told Charlie, but for some reason, he didn’t. Either way, this was another quality episode for this aging show.

The Chicago Code
This is yet another cop show, but it is kind of like Detroit 1-8-7, because it has a lot to do with the city. The pilot alone was decent. We got introduced to a tough cop, Jarek, who can’t keep a partner, and his ex-partner, Teresa, who is the first women to ever be the superintendent in Chicago.
I am not sure what to think about Jerek. He is hard to like. He doesn’t tolerate profanity and he is overall, a rude person. I think Teresa is pretty good, but nothing great either. Apparently, the show will revolve around them and the other officers as they try to take down political corruption. The pilot was decent and I hope that the show can get better.
It certainly has potential, but we haven’t seen anything great so far.

Traffic Light
One of the many comedies on TV that revolve around couples. There isn’t much to say about this one. The pilot was decent, but nothing spectacular. It was about one of the men moving in with his girlfriend and he learns that it isn’t easy to ask permission to hang out with his friends. This was better than Perfect Couples, but that is not saying much. It has little potential and I don’t expect much out of it.

Better with You
This show has been quite consistent lately. It started off rather mediocre, but has become a pretty good show. This week was about Valentine’s Day and Casey wanted to do something big. However, the other guys only give a flower and a card each year so that they don’t get into a competition.
Casey convinces them to do something nice, but the women don’t show up on time because of work. This was a funny episode and although I don’t think it could ever be on the level of Modern Family or The Office, it isn’t a bad way to spend thirty minutes.

Mr. Sunshine
The new show from Matthew Perry is very mediocre. Friends is one of the best sitcoms of all time, and I really wanted to like this show, but the first episode was not that good. I will, however, say that it is something different. Perry plays Ben, a general manager of an arena that hosts hockey games, concerts, etc.
The issue in this episode was that a circus was coming into town and the ice had not been melted. Ben also had issues with a girlfriend, and his boss was dealing with a charity event. Her son, Roman, is a complete idiot who needs a job and gets one. Roman and Ben provided some decent laughs, but the rest of the cast was just ok. I want this to be a good show, so hopefully it will improve. It has a good premise, but it just hasn’t delivered yet.

Community
Another quality episode from this underrated gem. It is a Valentine’s Day episode and the school was having a dance. Troy and Abed tried to get with the librarian, while Brita went with a girl who she thought was a lesbian. It turned out that the other girl was straight and thought Brita was a lesbian. It was the funniest story of the episode and actually kind of clever.
Pierce was actually on some drugs in this episode and Andy Dick was an imaginary tiny man trying to keep him high. The other story was Chang throwing a party at Jeff’s house, and we find out that Chang has nowhere to live. It was a decent story, but not great. However, the episode as a whole was another funny episode, as there were great stories for Brita and Pierce.

$#*! My Dad Says
I can’t believe I am saying this, but I am actually enjoying $#*! My Dad Says. At first, it was pretty awful. The only thing funny about it was Shatner, but it has improved immensely since then. Vince and Bonny are both funny, and Shatner gets better with each episode. The past few episodes have featured Jean Smart as Ed’s love interest, Rosemary and it has been pretty good.
This week, she didn’t like the fact he had guns in the house. The subplot with Vince and Bonny was good, as Vince couldn’t go through with artificial insemination without his own adult videos. It reaches a funny climax as Rosemary shoots the video because she thought Vince was an intruder. This show is actually pretty good. It has gotten much better than it was in the beginning, and the cast keeps improving as well.

Parks and Recreation
This comedy continues to shine. Ron’s evil ex-wife returned and caused havoc once again. She gets him drunk, and they end up getting married and arrested all in one night. The scene with the flashbacks to the previous night was hilarious. Another classic moment was when the department shows Ron a video of himself trying to convince him that she is evil and he should leave her.
This show is so funny and is probably one of the top five comedies on TV. It’s in its prime and everybody has something to offer. If you are still not watching this show, start now.

Episodes
This new comedy from Matt LeBlanc has been a good show. It deals with a British couple, Beverly and Sean, that has their own show remade in America. The funny thing about it is that everybody at the network, along with Matt LeBlanc, who is playing himself, has changed a lot of things about it.
Matt and Beverly had not gotten along so far and this week, she actually gave up on everything and left. She believed that Sean was cheating on her and she thought the show was mediocre. However, as she was driving, she got into an accident with Matt. They ended up having some great conversations and were the highlight of the episode. In the end, she cheated on Sean with Matt.
It was quite an interesting turn, as Sean hadn’t cheated at all. The other part of the episode was Sean trying to get Merc, the President of the TV station, to like their show again. Merc has been a jerk this entire series and the weird thing is that he is kind of funny sometimes. He acts like he likes their show, but he has no idea what it is or who they are.
Anyway, this episode was not the best, but it was pretty good and it left us on an interesting note.
