This is a new segment where I write short reviews for a bunch of shows from the week. There are spoilers in many of them, so beware.
Sunday
Desperate Housewives
In the Halloween-themed episode, Susan confesses to Mike about what has been going on. Paul ends up getting her fired and Mike decides that he will take the Alaska job.
Paul becomes more frustrated that his wife won’t sleep with him, but we find out that she is a virgin. Bree learns that Keith has a female roommate and Juanita begins to figure out what has been going on with Gabriel and the new girl.
In the final story, Tom and Lynette find out that his mom has Alzheimer’s disease and send her to a nursing home. I thought that this was a good episode.
Desperate Housewives is usually a good show that always has a lot going on, and this season is no different. This was another good, consistent episode.

Chuck
In this week’s episode, Chuck tries to find evidence that his mom is innocent. She sends him to her handler, who ends up being Volcove. This was a better episode than last week, but I am starting to get tired of Chuck’s mom flipping from bad guy to good guy all the time.

Two and a Half Men
Charlie’s girlfriend breaks up with him after she sees the kind of relationship he has with Rose. She tried to win over Charlie by telling him she is getting married, but in the end, it was all a fake.
I really enjoyed this episode and I have liked this season so far. The past few seasons were not very good, as they had Charlie engaged with Chealsea, but as this season has gone back to it’s roots, the laughs have returned in a big way. The mannequin wedding was possibly the best thing Rose had ever done.

Because of the election coverage, I did not watch any programming

Better with You
This new sitcom has been pretty mediocre all season. This week, Casey’s mom comes to Mia’s baby shower, as the men take a road trip. I did not like Casey’s mom at all, but I thought some of the road trip story was pretty good.
The characters in this show are likable enough and there is some decent comedy in each episode, however, it has not been improving much, unfortunately.

The Defenders
Since my first review, the Defenders has heavily improved. Apparently they have taken my advice, because Las Vegas has been a bigger part of the last three episodes.
This week, a woman was accused of killing her rich and famous husband. I liked how she changed in this episode. She started out very rude and demanding, but towards the end, she changed and became a much better character.
This show is improving each week, and this was the best episode yet. Pete and Nick have great chemistry, and their banter is very funny.

Community
After last week’s spectacular zombie episode, you would think that this week’s episode would fail in comparison, but that is not the case. In great Community fashion, they poked fun at Mean Girls and RoboCop.
After a group of rude women insult our women, they send Abed to insult them back, and it escalates into him insulting everybody he sees all the time. With the other story, Troy finds a secret trampoline, and Jeff joins him for a funny B-story.
This week’s episode continued Community’s great consistency. It continues to be the most underrated show on TV and the fact that this show might be canceled because of lowratings is just plain wrong. Come on people, watch Community!

$#*! My Dad Says
I have been mixed about this show since it began, and this week was no different. Ed gets attached to a dog and Henry has a crazy time with his brother’s boss. I can’t help but laugh at some of the things Shatner says, but the rest of show is not very funny.
Henry is ok, but he whines too much. I think that this show is not very good, but I can’t deny that each week does provide a few laughs. Unfortunately, it is only a few.

The Apprentice
This remains as the last reality-competition program that I watch. I was glad to see that this season went back to having regular people on the show. The fact that it deals with people who have been hurt with the recession was a great change for the show.
Trump changed the teams up in this episode, and they were tasked with making a four-page advertisement for Macy’s Donald Trump clothes line. Octane ended up winning and David was finally fired.
That alone is the reason why this episode was so great. I have hated David since the beginning and he really did not even deserve to be considered to be on the show. Fortunately, he is now gone and the rest of the contestants are pretty good. This was a great episode due to David’s firing alone.

Blue Bloods
I have really liked this show and I think that it is one of the best new shows this season. However, this week’s episode was not as good as the past few have been. A man has been accused of money laundering, as he has taken money from his gangster brother to use for his students and other school related things.
My favorite part about each episode is the family dinner, but this one was short and revolved around Jamie being put down by his brother for being a rookie. This was a pretty good episode, but not quite as good as it has been.

Nice idea to do smaller reviews of each show. In a busy world, I like getting a lot of info in a short period of time. Thumbs up to both Community and Blue Bloods.
