It’s time to revisit one of TV’s best families. Since I reviewed the Halloween episode, I think this show has gotten even better. The second season has been very good overall.
This week’s episode dealt with Frankie looking forward to the Royal Wedding and considered it more important than the Super Bowl. The only other story was Sue trying out to be an anchor for the school news.
In Frankie’s story, she began the episode helping all the kids with illnesses. After they were back to health, she told them that she didn’t want anyone getting sick for the wedding.
She was looking forward to the wedding so much that she ordered a plate and cup with their pictures on it and she even bought an HD television that she would return after it was over.
Knowing that everything at their house gets messed up in some way, she told everyone that they could not watch the TV at all and that they couldn’t even be around it.
However, when the time came for the actual wedding, she couldn’t get the TV to work. It seemed pretty stupid that they didn’t even test out the TV and made sure it worked before that happened.
She had plenty of time to deal with it and it would have prevented her from waking everyone up in the middle of the night. Anyway, she forced everyone out of bed and even after Mike got the TV working, she couldn’t change the channel.
While she was doing this, an old football game was on and Mike and Axel were talking about how much better sports are when watching on HD. Yeah, I couldn’t agree more.
Anyway, Frankie then goes into this rant about how she does everything for everyone and yet, when she wants to do one thing, everyone makes fun or doesn’t care.
She accidentally broke her plate and then ran off to bed. The family fixed the TV and went to get her, but then there was another issue. Frankie had pink eye. Apparently, she got it while trying on 3D glasses after some kid.
So, Mike had to explain what was going on to her, and that was the end of the episode. However, while all of this was happening, Sue was trying to be an anchor.
She got Brick to help her, but it was not good. When it came time to audition, she nodded all the time, barely blinked, over enunciated everything, and knocked over her drink and microphone.
Although it turned out awful, the people liked her handwriting and she got to work with the cue cards.
This was another good episode. It may not have been the best, but it did have some funny moments. Brick helping Sue was great and it was also very funny when Axel and Mike were making fun of the wedding.
This show has become one of my absolute favorite comedies on TV. Its second season has been outstanding and each week provides tons of great laughs. If you still are not watching, you need to be.
