First of all, let me address that title. That is one of the best titles the show has ever had. I laughed when I saw it. A lot of shows have a wedding in its seventh season and it was great that Supernatural took a shot at that.
What is even funnier is that season seven of Supernatural also features a wedding. The crazy part was that it was Sam’s wedding.
Actually, he was being drugged into being in love with Becky. Yes, the annoying fan girl was back and she kept giving Sam this love potion or whatever it was, in order to keep him in love with her.
I also liked how the show poked fun at itself and the fans. I kept imagining that this must be what every fan girl wants to do to Sam or Dean, so that was pretty funny that they did it.
Since Sam was “in love” with Becky, he decided to take care of a hunt with her and not Dean. The hunt was people dying in a town after things that they want come true.
It turns out that these were crossroad deals that a dealer managed to manipulate in order to take the souls before the standard ten-year deal.
As for Dean, he met up with one of Bobby’s friends, Garth, played by D.J. Qualls, and he was only ok. I mean, he wasn’t bad, but I would expect more from a guest star.
To me, he ended up being just as memorable as the few friends of Bobby’s that we only saw once.
The best part about him and Dean working together was that he aggravated Dean. I don’t know what it is, but when someone annoys Dean, it is pretty funny. Actually, it is not that seeing Dean aggravated is funny, but rather, he is funny when he is annoyed with someone.
Anyway, Becky managed to get this potion from the crossroads demon and is one of the next victims. However, she did not know this, and once she ran out of the potion, she tied Sam up.
After Sam convinces her to help them stop the crossroads demon, she does it and I was surprised. We find out that the demon used a helper to get passed the ten-year deal to kill the people.
Crowley shows up at the end and punishes the demon, breaks off the remaining deals, and wishes the brothers luck against the leviathans.
The episode ends with the brothers having a nice and funny conversation before taking off.
While not as good as last week, this was a pretty good episode. Although Becky is annoying, she was never better. It was great to see her put the hunt above her obsession for Sam.
Seeing Crowley again was great and seeing the brothers get along at the end was fantastic. That is how they should end episodes.
Although, I must ask, where is the impala? I remember that they had to hide it when their doppelgangers were killing all those people, but that was a while ago. They need to bring the car back.
Not since its biggest role in the season five finale has the impala been in the spotlight, and I think they need it back. However, this was a good episode and a fine hunt.
