Here’s what she has to say about her poetry writing: “I started a common journal at Eve’s House in Lansing, Michigan to offer words of encouragement, hope, and healing for women who are survivors of domestic violence. Our words are like fireflies in the night. When things seem the darkest, one word of hope can light up our lives just as the firefly lights up the night.
