A number of new sculptures have sprung up in Okemos like spring flowers. Click on the Play button above to see some examples - and one that is NOT part of the show.
The new installations are part of the Midwest Sculpture Initiative, the brainchild of Blissfield sculptor Ken Thompson. The initiative allows artists to place their works in the community on consignment for a specified price. When one piece sells, another takes its place. (I have pictures from last year of a previous sculpture that graced the Hamilton/Marsh Road roundabout).
