Grand Ledge children’s book author Deborah Diesen will be joining Lansing Online News Radio Monday, June 14 on Lansing Community College’s WLNZ 89.7. The program is hosted by Bonnie Bucqueroux and Bill Castanier. The program airs live at 7 p.m.
Diesen will be recommending many outstanding Michigan children’s books for summer reading. Read her recommended list of books by Michigan authors and illustrators.
Her first book “The Pout Pout Fish” was a New York Times bestseller and a Time Magazine Children’s Book of the Year. Last year the Pout Pout Fish book was selected by the Library of Michigan for a statewide summer read program. Her most recent book is “The Barefooted, Bad Tempered Baby Brigade” and her next book, which is a sequel to Pout Pout is “The Pout Pout Fish in the Big Big Dark.”
Diesen has put together an entertaining Pout Pout Fish in the Big Dark video to promote the new Pout Pout book which is due out in August.
The whole Diesen family spends time at the Delta Township Library each Saturday picking out books and she blogs regularly about Michigan children’s books. Visit her website to find out more about local events.
