MSU ranked 24th among the top 29 colleges in the nation for turning out tech leaders according to a survey by the Daily Beast. The results are relatively predictable and include Stanford and Harvard along with Princeton and the University of Texas at Austin, but coming in number one on the list is Dartmouth College. Who knew New Hampshire was a haven for techies? It must be the cold winters keep people huddled around the computer.
The Daily Beast list was compiled in part by checking the resumes of 250 top tech execs. The Beast said that there seems to be some schools that just do a better job of preparing tech grads for the world.
It said, “Some schools excel at inculcating a crucial skill for techland: dealing with uncertainty and making the right decision without taking too long to size up a situation quickly.” Go right through for MSU. Be sure to check out the summer issue of the MSU Alumni Magazine, which profiles both graduates and undergraduates who are making their way in the tech world.
