TIPS ON STAYING WARM DURING THE COLD (thanks, Bob Pratt). Remember the dangers of carbon monoxide with kerosene heaters and running a gas stove more than five minutes an hour. Another tip is to put shower curtains over the windows and remember to dress in layers, layers, layers. I also plan to sock in a supply of handwarmers for the future.
FROM INGHAM COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL
Ingham County animal control is willing to assist citizens with the care of their pets. The Center has done a wonderful job over the last couple weeks of fostering all the animals they had for the holiday season. They are willing to accept 30 dogs and 25 cats in their facility. Residents are encouraged to help with the care of the animals while the animals are placed there. This is due to the limited staffing they have due to the holiday season. They are stepping up to help the citizens of Ingham county so the county is asking that the citizens also help with the care of the own animals while they are displaced. We realize this is a difficult time for all the residents that have been effected by this weather incident. If you believe you need help for the care of your animals, please call Ingham county animal control at (517)676-8376. They will provide information to you to help care for your pets. Thank you!
TIME TO BE NEIGHBORLY
