The program begins at 6:30pm with a free reception at Everybody Reads Bookstore, 2019 E. Michigan Ave, followed by Word Art at 7:00pm – a free performance of poetry, storytelling, and music.
At 8:00 pm, a benefit concert featuring Mighty Medicine and opera singer Marco Guzmán is combined with a food buffet at Gone Wired Cafe, 2021 E. Michigan Ave. Suggested donation for the concert is $10, with additional donation for the buffet. The food will be prepared by Chef Cecilia Garcia, formerly co-owner of Mama Bear’s Cafe.
Word Art guests include:
