General Motors to add shifts at Delta plant

General Motors is adding additional shifts that will restore 2,400 jobs in three states, including the GM plant in Delta Township, Michigan. The Lansing plant will begin building Chevy Traverse. That vehicle is currently manufactured at the Spring Hill Assembly plant in Tennessee, which will cease production in November but remain on standby. The new shift at the Lansing plant is scheduled to begin April 2010.
