Rina N Risper
I hear on tv
I’d be a clone of them, I just want to dare to be me
I want to create
I want to alliterate
I want to restate
my goals
I’ve got a flush
so you might as well fold
and take it somplace where they have their noses up
some where, where they want to disrupt
by saying the same ole poem, memorized for so long it’s old
Didn’t you hear me?
I want to write more than one poem, I want to learn
I don’t want to hear you talkin’ over my craft, because I start to burn.
I want to make mistakes and be irregular
I wrote these words to affect him and not her
I wrote these words when I was in chains mentally
I wrote these words when I felt feebly
unwelcomed,
in everyone’s world
except in my own
Close your eyes and listen to me spit
if you don’t like my shuffling of papers why don’t you write some new shit
I don’t want to hear about my pattern or form
I’m not a dog or a parrot
and surely not here to perform
I am talking to you about
the way I feel
wassup yall
that’s the real deal
that’s my poem
