A last-minute computer glitch delayed the roll-out of Lansing’s new Capital Community Bike Share. But Ingham County Treasurer Eric Schertzing says the bikes will be ready to roll in a week or two.
The first of its kind in Michigan, the program provides bicycles for rent (and return) at racks downtown in front of City Hall, as well as in Old Town and REO Town. The project is a partnership among the city of Lansing, Ingham County Land Bank and Tri-County Bicycle Association, with Station-to-Station Support from the Lansing Board of Water and Light.
Eric Schertzing of the Ingham County Land Bank explains that residents will be able to use credit cards to unlock the bikes
