The crowd at Schuler Books in Okemos urged Neil Gaiman to choose their store to visit
Schuler Books hosted a Halloween party in the hopes of luring Neil Gaiman to town. The bookstore with the best party in honor of his new tome The Graveyard Book will win a personal visit Neil, and Schuler’s went all out trying to dazzle him.
Lansing Online News was particularly impressed with the costumes, the coffin, the treasure hunt and the chance to dance with Death. We especially loved Here-Kitty-Kitty – or Guardian Beast, as she is supposed to be called. Though having Death on stilts was also a nice touch. (And the young man admitted that this was his first time walking with them, which seems amazing.)
