Unfortunately, 30 Rock has become hit or miss these days. Luckily, this week’s episode was more towards a hit. Liz was getting over Carol, Frank and Pete formed a band, and Jack was dealing with a frustrating nanny.
The Jack story was the weakest. It had its moments, but it was frustrating. At first, he wanted to lower her pay because she started working half the time.
But she didn’t agree with this, and he gave in. I thought that as rich as the guy is, he could have just gotten a different nanny. I also was wondering why she was even chosen in the first place.
She had a terrible attitude and didn’t seem like she even liked her job. However, despite that, Jack provided a very funny moment when he used her silent argument method with Kabletown.
The best story of the episode was Liz and how Jenna was trying to help her get over Carol. I loved that after she got with someone, it turned out to be a conspiracy that involved everyone she worked with.
Tina Fey continues to be the funniest female in entertainment and the whole part with the cat and the fanny pack was great.
The last story was Frank and Pete’s band. Pete told Frank that he was in a band in the 80s, and Frank told him that he shouldn’t give up on his dream. So, they formed their own band.
It was great to see them argue like they did and the Beatles joke came out of nowhere and it was hilarious.
Overall, this was a good episode in a decent season. I have always felt like 30 Rock was never the best comedy on TV, and the fact that it hasn’t been as good as it once was just confirms it.
However, there have been episodes like the most recent one with plenty of laughs. Unfortunately, Tracy wasn’t even in this episode and he is usually the funniest person.
Anyway, a few good stories along with a frustrating one with one hilarious moment made this a pretty good episode.

It was okay. Of course, I was sleeping through parts of it. Missed the Beatles joke. Thought the conspiracy was kind of too much. Sometimes this show tries too hard. Anyway, finally got around to watching this, now you did Parks & Rec. Haven’t seen that. Will try this week.
