Melissa Quon Huber

Melissa S. Quon Huber, Ph.D. has over 15 years experience evaluating community and educational initiatives that impact families and their children. Her research has emphasized the role of geographic location in understanding social characteristics and outcomes of youth and their families. She has also been active in community development research and training across the state of Michigan. She has conducted research and evaluation training for community youth leaders and K-12 educators. Her research has been published in the Journal of Prevention and Intervention in the Community; Journal of Community, Work, and Family; the Academy of Management Executive; and the Journal of Vocational Behavior.

During his recent visit to Lansing, Kevin Kamps of Beyond Nuclear talked about aging Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Van Buren County, Michigan, on the shores of Lake Michigan.
