Thirty-one-year-old Jenny Read suffers from a disease most of us have never heard of - mitrochondrial cytopathy leukodystrophy, a progressive neurological disorder. Jenny is only one of 10 people worldwide with the disease, and few live as long as she has.
Ever since she was a child, Jenny has tried to deal with the tremors, the pain and the nausea, all of which are getting worse. Fortunately for Jenny, she has met caregiver and now good friend Becca Hollandsworth, co-owner of C.A. of Okemos, who has been able to find a variety of medical marijuana treatments to help ease Jenny’s pain. One medication even allowed her to sleep through the night for the first time in years.
Becca is also organizing a fund-raiser for Jenny, so that she can travel to Arizona and then California to meet with doctors there who may be able to provide additional help.
Jenny’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Fundraiser is Saturday, March 10, at Holiday Lanes/Spare Times Entertainment, 3101 E Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48912, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.. It’s too late to enter a team, but you can still come to watch and to donate.
Those who cannot make the bowling fundraiser but who would like to help can send a donation to:

Thank you so much for letting Jenny & Becca speak for themselves — i do hope all my real friends in this gawdawful, lifelong struggle to achieve our ‘first-class’ Citizenship will just settle in and watch this clip.
Jenny & Becca really nail the issues they chose to address — anyone who is an independent medpot providers/caregiver would be wise to listen to what these gals said … and it ain’t the half of it.
I’m behind CA and how they approach the tangle of Michigan medpot … the Arizona conference is CME and hoping to be there, but if not will be hosting California leg ~ Becca & Jenny have some people to meet / sights to see out here. .
Dr. Peterson, btw, is a Margaret and most certainly not a ‘he’ ~ she’s a real nutritionist [“not the kind you see on TV”] and native Michigander [Lansing & Saginaw] — she’s my certifying physician at Claudia Jensen Clinic [Ventura].
