The MSU Sexual Assault Program, Department of Residence Life, and Violence Free Communities by Design is sponsoring this FREE film series starting tonight at 6 p.m. at B106 and B108 at Wells Hall.
The schedule for the week is:
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd (Room B108)
6:00 p.m. Price of Pleasure - An honest and non-judgmental look at how pleasure and pain, commerce and power, liberty and responsibility have become intertwined in the most intimate area of our lives (55 minutes).
8:00 p.m. Trade - This film tells the story of Adriana, a 13-year-old girl from Mexico City who is kidnapped by sex traffickers. (120 minutes).
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th (Room B106)
8:00 p.m. North Country - A semi-fictional account of the long legal battle of women miners who endured hostile abuses in the workplace, verbal and emotional abuse, and unwanted touching after becoming the first women to work at the Eveleth Mines in Minnesota (126 minutes).
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5th (Room B106)
7:00 p.m. Spin the Bottle: Sex, Lies, and Alcohol - This film by Jackson Katz explores the college party scene and looks at this cultural environment filled with mixed messages about gender and alcohol (44 minutes).
8:00 p.m. Maria Full of Grace - In a small village in Columbia, 17-year-old Maria is fired from her job and forced to accept the offer to work as a drug mule to support her family (101 minutes).
