I really enjoyed this episode. It was a good hunt that involved the leviathans, which means that they merged the monster-of-the-week with the big villains of the season.
What I really liked was that the leviathans were taking the brothers shape and causing havoc.
They would go to locations that Sam and Dean hunted in and murdered a bunch of people. At one place, they killed everyone in a bank, and then they killed everyone at a diner in another town.
This caused the police to start looking for the Winchesters again. I always enjoyed that throughout the first few seasons, but it has been absent since season three.
Anyway, the brothers had a tough time with this hunt. As we have seen, they have no idea how to kill the leviathans.
That problem, however, has kind of been solved. Bobby was back this week and he was trying to harm the leviathan they caught in the last episode.
He was getting nowhere until officer Mills showed up. She came over to thank him for saving her and while she was there, they certainly had some chemistry.
While we have not seen a lot of her throughout the series, I liked her here and honestly, any living secondary character is great to see.
At first, it seemed like her being with Bobby was not going to amount to anything, but she unknowingly helped with the leviathans.
While cleaning the floor, a substance leaked through the floor and caused serious harm to the monster in the basement.
Bobby took the opportunity to chop its head off and put it in a box. Keep in mind that he already chopped the leviathan’s head off before, but it didn’t do anything.
That is the best that the guys have come up with at this point. Decapitating a leviathan after harming it with cleaning supplies. They then have to take the head as far away as possible.
Who knows whether that will work permanently, but it is the best they have. Anyway, the real Sam and Dean were arrested and while they were in the police department, the leviathans attacked.
After getting the information from Bobby, the brothers stopped them. However, not before the leviathan posing as Dean told Sam about Amy.
I was so glad when this happened and after complaining for the past few weeks, my wish has come true.
In the end, the brothers did the whole break-up thing, but as we saw almost immediately in the scenes for next week, they make up again.
We also got to see Crowley this week, which was great. He met with the leviathans boss and tried to make a deal with him, but the leviathan insulted him and declined working with him.
Who knows how high up this bad guy is, but I am certainly intrigued to see more of him.I have to say that this was a great episode. It was a really good hunt that involved the leviathans and there were a few hilarious moments.
Also, the best part is that they can get past Amy and maybe, just maybe, they can start becoming the brothers from the first few seasons again.
