Due to thanksgiving and its week off last Friday, I decided to hold off on my review of the latest episode.
I thought this was a decent episode, but it wasn’t great. It was a hunt that involved the leviathans poisoning people through turducken sandwiches.
I did like that the leviathans were in this episode. At first, the brothers thought that they were hunting the Jersey Devil, but when it was revealed that it was the leviathans, it certainly made the episode better.
The rest of the episode, however, was only decent. This was the first episode where we got to see a lot of the leader, Dick, and he is a pretty good villain.
Obviously, it is too early to say whether he will pose a major threat or not, but so far, I am intrigued.
The main shocker from this episode was Bobby being shot at the end. After being taken by the Leviathans, the brothers break him out and while they were driving away, Dick shot him.
I can’t believe that Bobby might die. Sam and Dean have been through so much that at this point, it is just depressing. The mid-season finale is tomorrow, and it looks like the whole episode will be about Bobby and whether he lives or not.
I hope he lives, because at this point, the brothers have nobody else. They have lost everything.
Anyway, this episode was decent and it helped develop the leviathans as villains. I really liked it when Dean was eating the turducken sandwiches. He is always hilarious in those types of situations.
I also really liked how funny it was when we saw Sam and Dean watch a news story on who Dick is.
Other than that, there isn’t much else to say. Season seven has been pretty good so far, but if something doesn’t start to happen soon, then this season will start to bore.
The leviathans have potential, but haven’t done anything worth worrying about yet. They have a long way to go in order to compete with yellow-eyes and Lilith. I just hope that this isn’t a waste of the last two seasons.
