FARE – Food Allergy Research Education – is launching a new Halloween tradition designed to help kids with food allergies who cannot have candies that include things like nuts or chocolate. Posting teal pumpkin in your window certifies that you have non-food treats to hand out.

FARE offers a list of things you can hand out instead of candy, from glowsticks to finger puppets. A quick trip to the local dollar store should provide you lots of options.
One of my favorite places for fun geegaws is Oriental Trading Company. I am not sure I can resist the glow-in-the-dark slime at less than $1 each.
