Even for Supernatural, this episode’s hunt was crazy. However, the more outrageous the hunt, the more enjoyable it is.
After a one night stand with a woman named Lydia, Dean forgets Bobby’s flask at her house and finds out that she has a daughter.
However, it turns out that this girl is Dean’s daughter and is part of a tribe called the Amazons. Created by the union of Harmonia and Ares, they use men solely for procreation, killing them after successful impregnation.
Sam finds that the Amazons, as they were hunted down and exterminated, made a deal with Harmonia and became monsters.
Cycling every two years, they send out women who reach their child-bearing years to be fruitful and multiply.
Basically, these young girls age really fast, then they are supposed to kill their father, and then at a certain point, they begin aging normally.
The episode gets to a point where Dean has his daughter, Emma, at gunpoint, but does not kill her.
Sam ends up pulling the trigger and the episode ends with Sam getting mad at Dean for almost letting her go.
If you recall, Dean killed Sam’s friend Amy earlier this year and he mentioned that monsters cannot stay alive, and then here he was in this episode contemplating whether he should let Emma go or not.
Overall, this was a solid hunt. I don’t know about you guys, but I have noticed more comedy recently. That was always the appeal about the first few seasons, but there hasn’t been as much the past few years.
It never left, but it got to a point where it was only one joke an episode or so. However, since Bobby died, all three episodes have been pretty funny.
Even during the serious argument at the end, Dean made a silly joke about Sam’s height and I liked that.
Dean is always best when he is funny and he certainly has been trying to be funny lately and it makes the show more enjoyable.
Anyway, interesting hunt full of blood, laughs, and some family issues.

Enjoyed this one…very entertaining.
I like the comedy in this and I also miss it. It used to be a lot funnier. I’m glad to see them going that direction. I had to laugh when Dean over heard the baby talking. At the end I think both brothers understood the decision the other had to make. I’m glad this episode got a B.
